Dr. Keyvan Ansari , member of the Alumni Association of Iran (advar tahkim), and ex-member of Amir Kabir University Student Society , who has been detained by the Intelligence Ministry for the past year, has been dismissed of the charge of conspiring against National Security.The Intelligence Ministry of Iran, arrested Mr. Ansari on 18 September 2006, and simultaneously attacked offices of the Alumni Association for detailed inspections.
The sixth branch of the “revolutionary court” had sentenced Mr. Ansari for 3 years and six months imprisonment on charges of threatening National Security and creating public disorder.
His relatives predict his near future release from Evin prison, considering that he has already undertaken one year of his sentence.
